ICAPP: Russia - Asia Business Forum, Vladivostok, 2015

Nepali Congress leader & former DPM/Foreign Minister Hon. Sujata Koirala attends ICAPP (International Conference of Asian Political Parties) Special Conference on “Russia for Asia: New Business Opportunities” in Vladivostok, Russia held from 21-23 May 2015. Leader Koirala while, addressing the conference, said that the special conference will help in exploring the opportunities to promote economic cooperation and integration in the region, expand cooperation among political and business leaders by establishing closer networks.

She further added that with the development of Russia's Far East in combination with China's Silk Road development initiative will not only bring nations closer together for economic development and enhance connectivity but will also build stronger people to people relationships. Koirala also said that by working together Russia and Asia can bring economic prosperity in the region.  

 

Hon. Sujata Koirala also appealed the ICAPP Member States and International Community present at the conference to assist Nepal in reconstruction program due to the destruction caused by the devastating earthquake that shook the nation last month. On the occasion Leader Koirala also conveyed the message sent by the Prime Minister Sushil Koirala expressing his gratitude to the ICAPP Member States for their sympathy, support and solidarity expressed immediately aftermath of the disastrous earthquake of April 25, worst in 82 years and killing thousands of people, causing damage and destruction of property and infrastructure.

Leader of UML and former PM Jhala Nath Kahanal also spoke on the occasion, member of the general presidium of the United Russian Party Mr Andrei K. Klimov, first Vice Governor of the Primorkiy    Territory Mr Vasily Usoltev, Chairman of ICAPP Mr Jose de Vanecia Jr, DPM of Cambodia Mr Sok An, Vice Minister Chen Fengxiang, International Department of CPC, Ms Oyundari Navaan- Yunden, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia  and Co Chairman of ICAPP Standing Committee Mr Chung Eui- Yong were among others who spoke on the occasion. The conference is attended by several political leaders, parliamentarians and business leaders from Asia and Russia.
