Leader Koirala Underlines Need of Immediate Local Bodies' Polls

MORANG: Nepali Congress Leader Sujata Koirala has underlined the need of the local bodies' election to accelerate the development works that has been halted for a long period of time.

Talking with journalists at Biratnagar Airport, leader Koirala also said that the debate on either President or Speaker should authenticate the new constitution was unnecessary.  "Political parties should resolve the issue through dialogue and consensus," she said. She also said that the focus of the parties should be on drafting the new constitution rather than
changing the government.

Stating that the current government is stable and strong, she urged the leaders of the parties to not make unnecessary comments against the government. "Promulgating the new constitution is the most important task of the hour so parties should concentrate on the constitution rather than the government," she added.
