Former DPM/FM, Nepali Congress Leader & Parliamentarian Hon. Sujata Koirala left for Moscow, Russian Federation to attend 10th ICAPP General Assembly.
Nepali Congress leader & former DPM/Foreign Minister Hon. Sujata Koirala left for Moscow, Russia to attend ICAPP, International Conference of Asian Political Parties 10th General Assembly (GA) to be held in Moscow from 24 October- 27 October 2018 under the auspices of the ruling party, United Russia Party. The political parties attending the ICAPP General Assembly will focus on its two main agenda’s “The role of political parties in reducing international tensions and combating extremism” and “The importance of international inter-party cooperation in the formation and development of political, economical, social ties between states”. Hon. Leader Sujata Koirala will present her papers on “The role of political parties in reducing international tensions and combating extremism” in the 10th General Assembly. 
Former DPM and NC leader Sujata Koirala will also hold several bilateral political meetings to discuss on cooperation and strengthening the party to party relations with leaders of Asia, Africa and Latin America at the General Assembly. The leaders including several former prime ministers, ministers, speakers of parliament, head of the party and representatives of 70 political parties from Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestinian National Authority, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Dominican Republic and Sudan will be gathered in Moscow, the capital city of the Russian Federation, for the Tenth General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). Leader of UML and former PM Jhala Nath Kahanal is also attending the General Assembly along with several other world leaders. 
This historic assembly will be another occasion to further promote the ICAPP objectives of strengthening democracy and raising the standard of living in our region through expanded cooperation among political parties. The 31st Meeting of the Standing Committee, the 4th Meeting of the Youth Wing, the 4th Meeting of the ICAPP Media Forum, the 5th Meeting of the ICAPP Women’s Wing and the1st Meeting of the Coordination Committee among ICAPP-COPPPAL-CAPP are planned to be held on the side of the 10th General Assembly.
Hon. Sujata Koirala is the member of the ICAPP Standing Committee, Co- Chair of the ICAPP Women’s Wing and Vice Chair, ICAPP Asian Cultural Council. NC Leader Ms Koirala will be returning Kathmandu on 28th October 2018.
