NC Leader and Former DPM/ Foreign Minister Hon. Sujata Koirala send her remarks to 2nd Meeting of the Asia- Europe Forum (AEPF)

The event was organized by European Conservatives and Reformist (ECR) Group, Member of the European Parliament (MEP) which was attended by Standing Committee Member of the ICAPP and four principle groups in the European Parliament, i.e. European People’s Party (EPP), Progressive Alliance of Socialist and Democrats (S&D), European Conservatives and Reformist (ECR) Groups and Alliance of Liberal and Democrats Group (ALDE). Due to inability of NC Leader Hon. Sujata Koirala to attend the forum in London at the last moment, her speech was read by Mr Rakesh Hamal, Member of the Nepali Congress Delegation at the forum (AEPF). Hon. Koirala, an active member of the ICAPP Standing Committee on her remarks at the 2nd Asia- Europe Forum on Cooperating in affordable and clean energy, mitigating climate change and preventing environmental degradation Hon. Koirala stated that “Environmental degradation together with climate change arising due to global warming is the greatest challenge of our time for the pursuit of sustainable development”.

The keynote remarks were made by Rt. Hon. Lord Bates, Minister of State for International department. The AEPF Forum was Co-Chaired by Hon. Geoffrey Van Orden, Member and Vice Chairman of European Conservatives and Reformist (ECR) Group of European Parliament. The event was also participated by founding Chairman of ICAPP and former speaker of house of representative of Philippines Hon. Jose de Venecia,Jr , Hon. Jan Zaradil, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of Alliance of Conservatives and Reformist in Europe (ACRE)and former ministers, several leaders from Asian and European political parties.
