Hon Sujata Koirala initiated the distribution of relief materials to the earthquake victims of Bhimtar VDC of Sindhupalchowk District. Relief materials were distributed to 1200 households of Bhimtar VDC constituency no.2 of the district. After the earthquake most of the houses in the area were destroyed or severely damaged and each household was provided with a bag of rice, lentils, blanket, soap as well as essential materials through the coordination of Nepali Congress leader Koirala. Leader Koirala, who is also the Chairperson of Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation, sent her private secretary Mr Laxman Thapaliya to distribute the relief materials to the victims. The distribution programme was also attended by NC Party regional Chairman of constituency No. 2 of Sindhupalchowk District Mr Jung Bahdadur Lama, Nepal army officials and intellectuals. The victims appreciated the kind support during such difficult situation. They expressed their pleasure and happiness in receiving the relief materials. A total of 85 persons had lost their lives in the Baiskh 12 earthquake in that area.
