Koirala Stressed on the Need to Design the Federal Structure to Link North to South

Leader of Nepali Congress and former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala stressed on the need to design the federal structure to link north to south. She stated this while inaugurating the first junior school level taekwondo competition organized by the Nepal Democratic Sports Association in Pokhara, Kaski.

She emphasized on the need to create an investment friendly environment to attract investment since Nepal’s development is possible only through the support and involvement of India and China. While developing the states from north to south, the state will be able to benefit from the basic specifics of Mountains, Hills and Terai and contribute to uniting the religious, cultural specifics of the people residing in the region and to develop the state.

In another context, she said that it was an honor for her to participate in the program at a time when Nepal’s sports sector was taking positive steps and she reminded the government to build the infrastructure of the sports sector. Koirala greeted the players and requested them to take the country’s sports sector to the international level in the days to come.
