Speaking at the special session of the legislature parliament, leader Koirala said that the Purbanchal University has recently been plunged into trouble due to corruption and the university couldn’t have functioned properly despite having adequate infrastructure and resources.

She said that the university’s office bearers often remain absent from their jobs and on the other hand they have been running the office by paying a hefty amount as a rent. She added that the university has recently been a breeding ground for irregularities and corruption.

Leader Koirala also urged for the holding of the local level elections at the earliest, citing that the lack of local level representatives has led to the increase in corruption at the village level.
