Leader Koirala Suggested that the Power Agreement must Prioritize Mutual Benefit.

Leader of Nepali Congress, Sujata Koirala said that Modi’s visit to Nepal will take Nepal-India relations to a greater height. She opined that the prejudiced opposition without any forms of discussions on the power agreement proposed by India is Nepal’s immature diplomacy. Leader Koirala said that Modi’s visit to Nepal is an achievement of all of Asia. Leader Koirala, who is also the Chief of Foreign Department, stressed on the need to look at the benefits of both the countries prior to any forms of agreement. She expressed her hope that the SAARC summit to be held in Nepal would be more effective after Modi’s Nepal visit. She said that Modi’s visit to Nepal must be perceived with great importance to make the SAARC summit more effective. Leader Koirala suggested that the power agreement must prioritize mutual benefit. She stressed on the fact that the whole face of South Asia would transform if the agreement can be made effective. In her opinion, Nepal would have a historic victory if both India and China can be taken together for the development of Nepal.
